Robert Baugh wins Privacy Champion at PICCASO Awards 2022

The team behind the inaugural PICCASO Awards 2022 put on a lavish events dinner on 8 December 2022 with 300 attendees gathered to celebrate all participants in this great, growing world of Data Protection after what’s been another interesting year!

We were up for 3!

We’re honoured that Keepabl itself was shortlisted for Best Innovative Privacy Project and that our founder Robert was up for both Privacy Champion and Privacy Exec of the Year.

Our table was up for 7!

We were delighted to co-sponsor a table with our great friends at SafePorter, who were also shortlisted for ESG Privacy Initiative. Our respective guests brought in another 3 shortlistings – so it was a night of excitement and, it must be said, a chunk of wooping.

The event was amazingly well supported with 300 attendees. What was so lovely was that the PICCASO categories covered a far wider breadth of the Data Protection landscape than other awards, from the usual vendors and consultants to in-house teams and projects, public and private sector, and leaders in learning, journalism and writing.

It was exhilarating to be able to meet so many people we’ve previously only followed on social media, heard on podcasts or met virtually.

Recognising Robert’s hard work championing Privacy compliance through Keepabl, Privacy Kitchen and more, we’re delighted that our founder Robert Baugh won Privacy Champion 2022. Being named on the shortlist itself was honour enough, to win this personal category has rounded off a great year for Keepabl, following on from our product expansion, sales success, and being named to the RegTech100 for 2023, a third year running, the day before!

Congratulations to all those shortlisted, to the winners, and to PICCASO. We’re looking forward to next year’s event already!
